The Essence Festival, known as "the party with a purpose", is an annual music festival which started in 1995 as a one-time event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Essence, a magazine aimed primarily towards African-American women. You may seen it more recently featured in the very funny film Girls Trip.
Join us for seven days of fun, frolics, parties as well as taking in the cultural food. Let's not forget the bar crawls down the infamous Bourbon street as well as a cruise down the Mississippi. If that's not enough then spend the days in the convention centre with hundreds of exhibitors, live music, influencers, life coaches.... the list goes on and then the evenings at the actual Essence festival Concert.
